What buyers say about this umbrella
Your questions, answered
Does it really stand up to strong wind?
Does it really stand up to strong wind?
Yes, that's exactly what the frame is for.
The 10 fibreglass double ribs flex under a gust and spring back into shape. Thin metal ribs stay bent.
In an extreme gust it can turn inside out. Point it into the wind and it will recover its shape.

How big is it?
How big is it?
Closed: compact enough for a bag, a backpack or your car door pocket.
Open: 58 cm ribs, a 106 cm canopy. Room for you and your bag, or for two people close together.
Is it hard to close?
Is it hard to close?
One press closes it. Then push the handle in by hand.
Press the button: the canopy closes by itself.
Push the handle towards the shaft until it clicks. It needs a firm push: that's the spring that will open it automatically next time.
Fasten the strap around the umbrella to keep it closed.
Is it heavy?
Is it heavy?
About 450 g, the weight of a small bottle of water.
It's heavier than a throwaway umbrella because the frame is built to stand up to wind, not to be light.
It's designed to be clipped onto your bag, carried inside it or kept in the car door, not in a jacket pocket.
Does it protect from the sun too?
Does it protect from the sun too?
Yes. The canopy has a UPF50+ black UV coating. In summer it works as a parasol too.
